If the article THE is used in a superlative expresion.
why can´t I use article THE most people are a little racist?

Hi Veronica,
In the sentence "Most people are a little racist," the word 'most' is not a superlative, it means 'the majority of people.'

Hi..
I want to know if when i put "in spite of" or "despite", i have to put always "the fact that"?
Anthony
hi gabi..
the comparative is: more hardworking than...
and
superlative: the most hardworking
Anthony
hi Anthony,
you use in spite of or despite when you have a noun or an ing-verb, but when you don´t have either of those then you need to use "the fact that".
Hope it helps!

Hey Elizabeth,
I would say that the word ¨easygoing¨ is related to one person´s character and also is a quality.
Fernando

You use SPITE OF OR DESPITE when you see this:
- Noun

THE FACT THAT + CLAUSE you use when is necesary.

Hi Priscila,

2) Her shoes looks very confortable; expensive mind you!
Hope it helps!
Hi Students
One thing that I found difficult in chapter 10 was the difference between that and than. Please help me.

use "somewhat" in a comparative sentence...
hey Francisco, somewhat is used when you want to refer to a very small difference between two things you are comparing.
